The two of us
The Restory is a family shop: a mother and her daughter-in-law who never could walk past the water-ringed oak dresser or the wobbly chair with beautiful bones.
Those pieces come home with us. They get stripped, re-glued, refinished and polished by hand, and they leave better than they arrived. Not made to look new, made to look loved.
How a piece gets here
Estate sales, antique malls, dusty back rooms. The good ones hide: solid wood, honest joinery, a story worth keeping.
Repairs first, then the finish. Stripped, sanded, stained or painted, waxed. Hardware polished, or replaced with period-correct pieces.
Photographed, listed, and sent to its next home, ready for another few decades of breakfasts, letters and bedtime stories.
